September 2010: Butt Construction secures $9.6 million U.S. Army project. Butt Construction Co. Inc. was awarded a $9.6 million contract for the construction of an Army Reserve Center in Trenton. Ohio. The three-building project awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Louisville is scheduled to start at the end of the month and be complete by January 2012. [Read the whole story]

August 14, 2010: Last year, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base spent nearly $1.75 billion for construction, services and supplies. Photo of AF fighter jet In April, 2009, Beavercreek-based Butt Construction Co. captured the final Base Realignment and Closure contract at Wright-Patt, a $36 million design/build project to add and renovate space in the Air Force Research Laboratory sensors complex. Butt Construction snagged at least seven military construction contracts at Wright-Patt during a two year period ending in 2009, totaling more than $300 million in work. [Read the whole story]

June 1, 2010: Construction of the new 711th Human Performance Wing complex will be finished months ahead of schedule. This will allow the 711th to move in March 1 of next year, rather than the initial forecast of May 29. Groundbreaking at the Sensors Lab

July 1, 2009: Officials at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base broke ground for a $36 million project that will add offices, laboratories and a sensors testing range to the existing Air Force Research Laboratory sensors directorate building.
