July 1, 2009: Officials at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base broke ground for a $36 million project that will add offices, laboratories and a sensors testing range to the existing Air Force Research Laboratory sensors directorate building. In April, 2009, Beavercreek-based Butt Construction Co. captured the final Base Realignment
and Closure contract at Wright-Patt, a $36 million design/build project to add and renovate
space in the Air Force Research Laboratory sensors complex. Butt Construction snagged at least
seven military construction contracts at Wright-Patt during a two year period ending in 2009,
totaling more than $300 million in work.

Officials at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base said the time line
for completing the three-building, 680,000 square-foot complex has been moved to the
end of 2010. This will allow the 711th to move in March 1 of next year, rather than
the initial forecast of May 29. The building is being built by the joint venture team
of Butt Construction and Archer Western Contractors of Chicago.

of schedule to be finished in February 2011, with occupancy in May 2011.
