New LEED Silver complex provides space for education and research.
Building Design + Construction magazine reports on the new Maj. Gen. Harry George Armstrong Complex
at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This $220 million, 680,000-sf complex was completed by a joint
venture design and construction team including Butt Construction Co. The academic-style facility supports education/training and research functions and
contains classrooms, auditoriums, laboratories, administrative offices and library facilities, as well
as spaces for operating highly sophisticated training equipment.

September 2011:
Butt Construction joint venture wins $98M hospital upgrade.
A joint venture between Butt Construction and the Walsh Group in Chicago has landed

a contract to perform an estimated $98 million in renovations to the hospital at Wright-Patterson
Air Force Base. The project will upgrade about 260,000 square feet of the hospital with remodeled
operating rooms, upgraded food-service and kitchen areas and updated heating, air conditioners
and electrical systems.

October 2010:
Butt Construction joint venture wins deal.
Butt Construction Co. with joint venture partner Prime State Electrical Contractors Inc.
was awarded a $4.57 million contract to renovate a 42,600-square-foot building at
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Butt Construction president Bill Butt said that
the space will be used as administration areas for Global Logistics Support Center,
in support of Operational Supply Chain Management.
